VCSA Covid Art Contest
The Vietnamese Cultural and Science Association (VCSA) is hosting an art contest and invites you to submit your entry for consideration!

Please read the instructions and rules below completely before submitting an art piece.
The theme of VCSA Covid Art Contest includes but not limited to:

Contributions of Vietnamese American Houston Health Care workers during Covid
-
Impacts of Covid on the Houston community as a whole and the Vietnamese community in Houston specifically
-
Increasing awareness and the importance of Covid vaccination among the Vietnamese community in the Houston larger area
Applicants are to create their own piece in one of two (2) acceptable formats:

Artwork (including drawing and painting)
-
Digital art (art made using software, computers, or other electronic devices such as drawing and illustrations)
Applicants will be split into three (3) categories for judging:

Elementary (5-10 years old)
-
Middle School (11-13 years old)
-
High School (14-18 years old)
The prizes will be awarded as follows:
Artwork Submission Category

High School - $500
-
Middle School - $300
-
Elementary - $200
Digital Art Category

High School - $500

Middle School - $300

Elementary - $200
Rules
-
Must be a student attending a school/academy or attending a Vietnamese American school (within the past 2 years) in Alief to participate in the VCSA Covid Art Contest

Limit of one entry per applicant

Art pieces may only submitted in a JPEG/JPG, HEIC, PNG, URL link, or PDF
-
Your entry must be original in concept, design, and execution, not have been previously published, produced, or sold, and not violate any U.S. copyright laws. You may only submit your own artwork that you personally created. Any entry that has been copied from an existing photo or image (including a painting, graphic, or advertisement) that was created by someone other than you is a violation of the contest rules and will not be accepted. Any submission that does meet these requirements will be disqualified
