Beginning in May 2020, VCSA launched efforts to secure COVID-19 testing kits and vaccinations for the Houston community, with a focus on elderly Vietnamese Americans facing language and technology barriers. By June 2021, through our Community Vaccination Project, we provided over 2,000 COVID-19 tests, 1,000 vaccine appointments, and over 3,200 vaccines delivered for Houstonians of all backgrounds.  Our efforts have been featured in the Houston Chronicle, the Texas Tribune, and FOX 26 News. Our work is entirely volunteer-driven, and would not be possible without those who have tirelessly worked to uplift our community’s needs. The following report compiles the ways VCSA has worked to serve our community since the beginning of the pandemic. Thank you to all those involved in our efforts!
