The Vietnamese Culture and Science Association, in collaboration with The Children’s Museum of Houston, will sponsor the Mid-Autumn Children’s Festival, 2008 to promote Vietnamese Culture to mainstream society and to introduce to the children of Houston the beautiful traditions of the Vietnamese children in the Mid-Autumn Festival. The event will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 at The Children’s Museum of Houston from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Orientation date: July 5th 10:00am - 12:00am at VCSA center

Starting class: July 12th for 10 weeks Every Saturday and Sunday 10:00am - 12:00pm

Fee: $450 for regular students. $150 for students from low income family (based on income federal guideline), please bring the Income tax return filing if registered in this category.

This class is for beginners who do not have knowledge about Vietnamese language. The objective is to provide training for basic reading, writing and speaking for the beginner level.

The LePham family and committee is looking to award this scholarship to an aspiring Vietnamese-American student who is able to demonstrate strong civic participation and active citizenship within the community.
