The Vietnamese Culture and Science Association (VCSA) and the LePham family are pleased to invite applicants for the 2010 Nicholas C. LePham Citizenship and Public Service Award. The LePham family and committee is looking to award this scholarship to an aspiring Vietnamese-American student who is able to demonstrate strong civic participation and active citizenship within the community. Changes and improvements can only take place when future leaders organize within the community to address problems.

This summer VCSA plans to open a Vietnam History Class (contemporary history) if we have at least 10 students registered. The class will cover the period of 1900 - 1975 and will be taught bi-lingually. The class instructors are Mr. Truong Nong and Mr. Bao Nguyen. Class consists of 6 consecutive Saturdays, starting this Saturday June 12, 2010 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at VCSA Center - 4615 Belle Park Dr. - Houston, Texas. Fee is $60 for the whole class and VCSA members receive 50% discount.
