Our Goals

To promote participation of Vietnamese-American/Canadian students in volunteerism in the Vietnamese community in the local city, VCSA will award eight $500.00 scholarships to outstanding young community activists who want to attend camp Len Duong 2010 and need financial help.

Requirements

What: Vera Tran Award Contest
Prize: One award, certificate and $1,000.00 USD
Deadline: April 5th, 2010
Eligibility: Open only to those who plan to attend Len Duong camp 2010 and who have attended at least one Len Duong camp and was able to apply the skills learned at the camp to deliver a project at the local community. The local community can be anywhere.

VCSA is pleased to announce the Len Duong 2010 Essay Contest with the following details:

The purpose of the contest is to encourage young community activists from across the North America to share their ideals in volunteerism and to encourage them to attend Len Duong camp.

Who can participate? Everyone who is currently active in a community group and wants to attend Len Duong'10 Youth Leadership Camp is eligible to participate in the contest.

INCOMING 2010-2011 KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS:

Stafford Primary School will be implementing a DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM for Kindergarten students in the 2010-2011 school year with one Kindergarten class for Vietnamese and 1 Kindergarten class for the Chinese language. This means if your child is 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2010, your child will have the FIRST opportunity to participate in this program offered in
STAFFORD and be afforded the opportunity to learn another language!!

About the contest

To celebrate our twenty years of service, the Vietnamese Culture and Science Association proudly launch our very first charity golf tournament which will be hosted at the outstanding SouthWyck Golf Club located in the City of Pearland, Texas. With great outdoors and relaxing environment, this event is a wonderful opportunity for you to share a joyful weekend with your employees, co-workers, family, and friends. The golf tournament is an excellent occasion for you to meet and network with many great individuals who share your passion of outdoors and golfing.
