Dr. Dieu Rick Q. Ngo
Dr. Ngo is a General Surgeon with Southwest Surgical Associates practicing in Houston, TX. He graduated from Rice University in 1994 and then obtained his M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine- San Antonio in 1998. Subsequently, he completed his General Surgery Residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, TX in 2003. Dr. Ngo's focus areas include minimally invasive gastrointestinal/hernia surgery and breast disease surgery. He is active in the medical community as he holds multiple leadership positions including American Cancer Society Gulf Coast Leadership Council Chair, American Cancer Society High Plains Division Board of Directors, American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Cancer Liaison Physician, and Memorial Hermann Physician Network Clinical Programs Committee Surgery Subcommittee Chair. He was recently appointed Chair of the Health and Wellness Committee of the Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce of Houston. Dr. Ngo is also an active member of the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, and Vietnamese American Medical Association- Greater Houston.
Dr. Ngo's involvement with VCSA includes serving as the Health Promotions Committee Chair, Len Duong Counselor in 2009 and 2011, and Len Duong Career Workshop Panelist in 2009-2011.
